About The Foundation

Advancing Education and Driving Innovation

The Resilience Healthcare Chicago Graduate Education Foundation, established in 2022, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to advancing medical education and research. Our mission is to enhance Resilience Healthcare Chicago Graduate Educational Foundation programs and research while expanding our outreach locally and globally, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and compassion in healthcare.

Commitment to Excellence

West Suburban Medical Center

Established in 1914, West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park is renowned for its exceptional healthcare and education.The same year that it opened, the hospital established a training school for nurses, which still exists as an independent entity. Our accredited Family Medicine Residency program, since 1972, is central to our mission of training future family medicine professionals. We are committed to high-quality care and community service.

Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital

Since 1953, Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital has been dedicated to excellence in medical education and patient care. Our Internal Medicine Residency, accredited in 1965, and Podiatry Residency, accredited in 2008, demonstrate our commitment to training skilled clinicians. In 2024, our Internal Medicine program was the fifth most viewed in Illinois. We continue to provide innovative care and valuable educational opportunities to our community.

Educational Affiliations and Opportunities

The Foundation has formed key partnerships with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, and St. Catherine University. We are also working on establishing additional affiliations with various colleges, universities, and technical schools that have long collaborated with our hospitals. Currently, Resilience offers practical learning and clinical training across a range of disciplines, including - Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents, Podiatry residents, Medical students, Physician assistants, Nurses at all levels, Physical therapists, Occupational therapists, Speech and language therapists, Social workers at all levels, MRI technologists, CT technologists, Mammography technologists.
